So it only takes me 4 weeks!

So much for being back in the groove! I will try to be better, but I guess Ron and I live boring lives! Well our Halloween came and went without a dress up for either of us. We spent the day at work then went to dinner and rode around Springville and Spanish fork, I cannot believe how some people decorate for this holiday I don't even do that much for Christmas! We got home around 8 in time for the kids to come by, Jennie was Boo off of monster inc, she was so cute!

This weekend was good, Ron worked all day Saturday on the back yard with the rock wall, it is finally starting to come together, only after 3 years! Yay for Ron!!! I'll take some pics so you all can see.

Sunday I was released from the Primary presidency(bitter sweet) And then for the few seconds that I did not have a calling felt wonderful right up until they called me to the 1st counselor in the young woman's! It will be a lot of fun but also a lot of work!

That sums up our week! Now we are back to work and counting down the days until we leave for vacation!

Home again Home again jiggidy jig!!!!

Taylor is home and she says it feels so good! Drew stated that she loved being at Grandmas and never got home sick but she was glad that she was going home today! Nolan loved Grandmas but was happy when his Dad picked him up at daycare!

Taylor's new rules are a lot different than she is use to. No school for 3 weeks and then only 2 hours a day for 2 weeks. No horses, bikes, scooters, skate boards, softball, trap, swings, running, jogging etc etc until after Halloween (YIKES!! how will they ever keep her down) She is having a hard time realizing that the inside of her body is still very much hurt because the outside is all but perfect. This pic on today's posting is the second degree burn on her back, practically her only visible battle wound! She wanted it added to the blog so sorry to all those who thinks it is gross!
So for all those who want to entertain Taylor stop by for a board game because that is about all she can do, but within the next 8 weeks I bet none of us will be able to beat her, he he he!

Survey Says.......

Yay Tay got her good news this morning. The Doctor came in and told her she can start getting out of bed to use the restroom, and eating some real food, she called room service and ordered french toast and scrambled eggs. They are going to let her come home tomorrow! YAY!!!! The bad news is that she misses school for 3 weeks (and to a ten year old that loves school and her friends that will be the hardest part) and no active playing on anything until after Halloween! So this means that our family trip in the club wagon to Disneyland has been postponed! It is all worth it because we still have our angel with us!

Our Super Trooper Tay!

Well another good day for beaner! We just got back from spending the afternoon with her and with each visit she gets just a little stronger! When we got there around 2:30 pm and her last pain medication had been at 4 am, which you could see that she was hurting and tired so her nurse Rob talked her into at least a Tylenol. She has refused the hard stuff because she doesn't like the way it makes her feel and makes her sleepy. She is still on a little oxygen in her nose but she hates it because it makes her nose tickle. Still has the IVs in but is tolerating clear liquids. They are hoping that tomorrow she will be able to get out of bed at least to go to the bathroom. Dylan had brought her a stuffed horse and she named it after her nurse Rob and then the Miller girls brought her a cow and she named it after her first nurse Beau. She is so funny because she is so tired but wants to visit with everyone and when anyone leaves she tries to give them a hug, even with IVs in each arm. Same Tay through and through!!! Here is a few pics of the afternoon, uncle Tim brought her a ginormous cookie but she is still unable to eat solid foods so we brought it home to put in the freezer and she can have it when she gets home!

Talking to her beloved fans on the phone! The orange tape on her chest is some foam band aids where she got a few scrapes. She also has a baton to the side of her that she twirls in bed, by this afternoon she said she was bored of that, but she is getting pretty good at it!

Baby Steps to coming home!

Mark another milestone of the calender. Tay was moved from ICU to the trauma floor today. Ron and I did not go and see her today being she needs the time to sleep. They offered her a Slush (because they have their own Slush machine how cool is that!), sprite and Utah's favorite jello. She is working hard on deep breathing to get her little bruised lungs to function again. They are keeping her laying in the bed so that her laceration on her liver can heal. We now just sit back with our arms folded and wait for Taylor's body to heal. They have told Ryan and Mandi that it could be a little as 2-3 days before are little beaner is on her way home.

We are BLESSED!!!!!

We are so Blessed, our little Taylor is one of the strongest little 10 year olds that I know! Ron and I spent the day at the hospital, both of us not being able to concentrate at work. We felt like we were needed at the hospital close to Taylor. This little sweet angel is ventilator free, nasal gastric tube free, awake and talking! The Doctors at Primaries is in awww at this little girl they have no explanation of why she is doing so well. We arrived at the hospital around noon. We were able to go right in to see her, her nurse for the day Beau, had just turned off the medication that was keeping her deep sedated and was turning on a Morphine drip. We sat with her until she woke up which was only around ten minutes. I was holding her hand and her eyes opened wide and she looked and me and smiled. She knew where she was and why she was there and was in no pain. The first thing she did was kicked off the blankets on her feet. Ever since she was a new born baby she has hated blankets and always kicked them off so I was not surprised by this at all. She went through all of today mostly awake, communicating on her dry erase board because she was unable to talk with the ventilator still intact. She started to breathe on her own around 1 pm and around 6:30 pm the ventilator was completely removed. The air pockets around her esophagus that they had seen this morning have disappeared. When they did a scan around 5 pm there was no sign of a tear there. Her labs have stayed normal all day so no active bleeding at this time. I told Ron that I could have not done what she is doing. If I woke up on a vent I would asked to be sedated. Not Tay she decided to watch a movie and be with her family! So the pic of her is before she woke up and I was so excited when they took the tube out that I forgot to take a pic but I'll get one tomorrow. We are hoping that tomorrow morning she will be moved out of ICU and onto the floor and then be home in a couple of days! YAY!!!! Thanks for all your prayers I think we have witnessed a miracle.
